Demonstration Alert – U.S. Mission Türkiye, May 30, 2025

Location: Throughout Türkiye

Event: Demonstrations critical of U.S. foreign policy remain possible along with anti-U.S. rhetoric. Large gatherings may result in enhanced police presence, road closures, and traffic disruptions. Any gathering, even those intended to be peaceful, could escalate and turn violent.

Actions to Take:

·        Exercise caution and stay alert at locations publicly associated with the United States.

·        Keep a low profile.

·        Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.

·        Be aware of your surroundings.

·        Monitor local media for updates.

·        Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive alerts.
